About Words: Build & Destroy Art Exhibit by MAVP365

Bright Coffee, San Antonio, TX

Mav "Mavp365" Pascal is a grant-funded artist whose creative journey is deeply rooted in personal experiences and healing. Drawing inspiration from his trauma and the wisdom gained from his healing process, his art incorporates geometrical fragments and broken pieces inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken objects are mended with gold to enhance their beauty. He also finds influence in music, allowing frequencies from songs to shape his artwork's colors, lines, and shapes.

Starting with sketches, Maverick has ventured into various mediums, including charcoal on paper, acrylic paint on canvas, and digital art. His preferred medium is metallic acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas, known for his signature line work and painted fragments. During his 365-day creative journey in 2020, he rediscovered a connection with his inner child and developed a passion for self-development, healing, and promoting mental health awareness.

Event Description: Join us for "About Words," an exploration of the profound impact of language on our lives and our healing journey. Just as words can hurt, they also possess the power to heal. This event invites you to consider the connection between words and personal traumas, offering a unique perspective on how words can both wound and mend. Through art, we rewrite our stories and empower ourselves to create a brighter future where past traumas no longer define us.
